Two Super Bowl victories, 18 seasons, and millions of fans worldwide. Former Denver quarterback Peyton Manning took the sport of football and gave it a whole new meaning. His passion and love for the game captivated fans.

 

For the first 14 seasons of his career, Manning played for the Indianapolis Colts. The spitfire quarterback gained popularity with Hoosiers and soon there were blue number 18 jerseys as far as the eye could see.

 

With a successful career under his belt, the quarterback announced to the world on Monday, March 7th that he was retiring from the game that he had treasured playing professionally for the past 18 years. Besides two Super Bowl victories, Manning also retires as the NFL’s record breaking leader in passing touchdowns, passing yards, and quarterback wins.

The number 18 will forever hold a new meaning. It represents all of the turmoils and the triumphs, the struggles and the successes Manning has had. The long hours of hard work have resulted in a renowned career for Manning that he will always be able to cherish. So with heavy hearts we bid not a farewell to the beloved quarterback, but a ‘see ya later.’
