Kayana Traylor with Varsity Views “National Athlete of the Week” Nomination

*Update: It was announced today that Kayana Traylor won Varsity Views “National Athlete of the Week.”*

After scoring her 1,000th point during her third year of high school, and many different scoutings from colleges all over the state, junior athlete Kayana Traylor was casted into the Varsity Views’ contest for “National Athlete of the Week.” Kayana is one of the five athletes  nominated nationally for the week, and the winner will be announced tomorrow. Traylor currently has a verbal commit to Purdue University, where she plans to attend once she graduates from MHS in 2018.  Traylor has totaled 66 points, made 8 rebounds, 12 assists, made 6 steals with 7 blocks in the combined wins over Cascade and Greenwood.
