On March 21, Apple revealed a new special edition Red iPhone. With 128GB and 256GB, the new aluminum colored iPhone was a collaboration with 10 year partner, Red, in designing a phone with a special purpose in the fight against AIDS. Currently, Apple is the world’s largest corporate donor to the Global Fund in the fight against AIDS. They have contributed more than $130 million dollars in their partnership with Red toward the fight against AIDS, which has killed more than 35 million people since it was discovered in 1981. In all, Red has raised $465 million and has impacted over 90 million lives across the world. The new iPhone will be available for purchase on Friday, March 24 online, starting at $749.
