Justice For Lieutenant Aaron Allan

Justice For Lieutenant Aaron Allan

September 14, 2017

The individual accused of killing lieutenant Aaron Allan, a Southport police officer, may face the death penalty. Jason Brown is held responsible for shooting Officer Allan a total of 14 times after flipping his car at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Maynard Drive. Brown was charged with murder for Allan’s death, but he pleaded not guilty at his first appearance in Marion County court.

The prosecutor has contemplated whether or not to pursue the death penalty; however, a decision has yet to be made thus far. The Marion County judge is expected to reach a verdict within the next 45 days. Brown’s next trial is set for October 16. He is currently being held in the jail’s medical unit, but will soon be relocated to administrative segregation for his own protection.
