Celebrities You Didn’t Know Were Geniuses
April 9, 2018
You may think some of the people you see on TV or your computer do not really know how to do anything other than their job. This assumption is not always true. Certain celebrities are known for their pretty faces or amazing acting, but their hidden talents and brains sometimes go unnoticed. Today, actors, singers, and models might be seen as oblivious to everything going on in the world except for their career. This, however, is not true for most of your favorite famous people. Celebrities usually graduate high school and college with various degrees. The person you see on the big screen may not be all about fame and fortune. Behind the characters they play, songs they sing, and pictures they pose for, they can possess unrecognizable academic intelligence.
Many actors graduate with degrees in literature and English because of their interest in film and creative writing. For example, actress Emma Watson graduated college from Brown University with a Bachelor’s degree in English literature. Also, actor James Franco has spent a portion of his life focused on school. He spent two years at UCLA and majored in filmmaking at NYU. Franco enrolled in two schools for fiction writing and another for poetry writing. He even attended Yale University for an English Ph.D.
Singers commonly tend to go to college for music and songwriting. One of these singers is Alicia Keys. She attended a performing arts school at the age of eight, and she successfully graduated at 16 years old. She accepted a scholarship from Columbia University, but she dropped out after four weeks because of her growing music career.
However, some singers went to school for advanced academic reasons. Kesha, for example, is commonly seen as a party girl, but she is actually a studious woman behind the lyrics. She attended college lecture classes for fun because she loved to gain knowledge. She studied psychology at Barnard College until she was persuaded to start her music career. Similar to Kesha’s academic abilities, model Cindy Crawford was also academically successful in high school and college. She was valedictorian and received a scholarship to Northwestern University and studied chemical engineering.
The celebrities we know today are sometimes perceived as people who only care about their fame, fortune, and followers, when in reality, your favorite celebrities are actually filled with knowledge.
