You
September 3, 2021
You came into their life so unexpectedly,
Ripping their beliefs to shreds,
Paving your own into their head.
You showed them affection so effortlessly,
Caring in a way that you didn’t have to,
Changing their point of view.
You saw a broken person falling apart so slowly,
Looking for someone to help them,
Wilting like a flower off its stem.
You helped them in a way so greatly,
Transforming their feelings when they look in a mirror,
Making life so much dearer.
Then you left…
You left them in a world so dark and cold,
so melancholy and gloomy.
You left them in a way so heartbreaking and gut wrenching,
so tragically and selfishly.
You left their life so unexpectedly,
Ripping their newfound beliefs to shreds,
Leaving them to pave their own again.
