It used to be blithering cold,
But now you’re gone.

It used to be utter darkness,
But now you’re gone.

It used to be gray skies all the time,
But now you’re gone.

I thought you were the light of my life, and then you left.
Now, I have amazing warmth and bright lights, and sunny skies.
Things are so much better now that you’re gone.

I sometimes think I wish you’d left earlier,
But you were put in my life for a reason.

A reason to make me better.
A reason to make me realize what’s good and what’s bad.
A reason that I didn’t know I needed.
