Basketball

You hear the roar of the crowd around you, you smell the sweaty athletes on the court, or is that the cheerleaders? It does not matter, because you are at a Martinsville basketball game and you are having the time of your life.

The Artesian basketball team team started this year off strong with a 7-0 record. They had some crazy moments like a tip in buzzer beater to win their first home game 65-63.

“This season is going well so far. I’m looking forward to sectionals at home this year. I definitely want to win sectionals, and go as far in state as we can. It’s sad that it’s my senior year, but also cool. I have been looking forward to this year,” said senior Timothy Bowlen.

The season started well with some dominant games, but then the boys went through some tough losses. With some hard work, they were able to rally back and are now looking strong to finish the year off and head into sectionals.
