New laws to create new changes

To be completely honest, these new gun laws could go either way, depending on how things work out. However, I believe they will cause positive changes to occur in the future. Sure, people will still attempt to get around the background checks and such, but the fact of the matter is it will be much more difficult to do so and not get caught. I feel these new laws will lower the amount of death and injuries from firearms from the numbers they have reached through the years.
I believe the new laws will make a difference at some point in the coming years. The drastic change in the background check system will close several loopholes that were previously being exploited and will make it more difficult for those who should not own a gun to get one. The government has made sure to halt the ability to buy weapons through a trust or corporation due to outdated system regulations. These adjustments allow the background check to be more thorough with more people going over them and finishing the processing as soon as possible. As for the changes related to mental health, this could be helpful in some cases, but it will be quite as beneficial as the background checks because not a lot of people who have a mental illness will become violent within their lifetime.
In the end, I think these changes will make a positive difference. Many of the problems have been addressed and plans have been put into place to fix them. There will hopefully be changes seen in the future as the number of incidents involving firearms goes down as a result of the new laws.
